July is a busy month for me! Festivals in Rochester, NY are in full swing, there are BBQs nearly every weekend and on top of that most of my family and close friends celebrate birthdays and anniversaries in this month. For almost all of these events, I’m busy lugging my point and shoot camera to capture the many summer memories. (Take a look at the view from my hammock!)

We always hear the saying, “A picture is worth a thousand words,” but it really is so true.  Photos capture memories that are timeless and the cost of doing so slim to none. Converting these captured memories into photo products has been accelerated because of technology and creating personalized versions of these photo products is easier than ever. Personalized Photo merchandise is a thoughtful and emotional gift that in many cases takes the place more expensive gifts.

A recent InfoTrends analysis tells us that consumer spending on photo books has doubled from $69 to $133 from 2006 to 2008. However, the consumer market is not the only area of growth. There are huge opportunities in Business to Business photo applications: things like Real Estate, Education and Travel/Hospitality.
