Xerox Color 550 Printer… Sold!

This morning I had the honor of meeting Susan Englesby, a successful business woman who manages and owns a PostNet store outside Kansas City in a town called Lee’s Summit.
Susan has been in business for 6 ½ years and the time came to purchase a production color printer in order to transform her shipping and packaging business into a print service provider. Being in the enterprise business, Susan told me the reason she went with the Xerox Color 550 Printer is because of its ability to crossover between office and production capabilities.
The touch screen and advanced finishing options were very appealing to her, as well as the scan to/print from USB feature for office documents. When I asked her the difficult question of what job she’d be producing first with her new printer, she already had a customer lined up with a decent-size order of booklets.

My favorite part of my visit with Susan was that she didn’t know the CEO of PostNet International, Steven Greenbaum, was coming to surprise her in the Xerox booth as she signed the order for a new Xerox Color 550 Printer. You could feel the excitement in the booth!
While Susan was visiting with Steven, I had a chance to catch up with her sales rep, Kevin Regan, who told me more about the PostNet franchise. PostNet has 350 stores that are independently owned, so when you walk into a PostNet store, the person standing at the counter waiting to help you is usually the owner! They call themselves the “Neighborhood Business Center” because of the close relationships the owners build with their customers. Susan commented that for all of her customers she often sends them greeting cards for those special moments in their lives.
I wanted to write a post about my experience today for several reasons. I thought the story behind the PostNet franchise was interesting, and I knew how excited Susan was to be purchasing her Xerox printer. Hearing her talk about how Xerox and the capabilities of the Xerox Color 550 Printer help her meet her business objectives, combined with having the CEO there to congratulate her on her accomplishment, was a really cool experience.

Susan’s store is just outside Kansas City not St. Louis…but no matter where it is you can believe that her customers love her service and will come back often for more printing…on her new Xerox 550

I agree Kevin 🙂 I am also going to change this post to read Kansas City so Susan’s location is correct!

Thanks for the mention Lindsay but it was my absolute pleasure to be there with the chair of our national franchisees advisory council Dusty Stearns. Keep up the great work Susan and thanks to Kevin and Xerox for their support!
